The Sorry State of Pop Music

Where is good pop music?

Sure, I've been on the electronic kick for the last few years with a little rock on the side, but I'll always been a pop music lover at my roots. It seems a great lack of quality pop music graces the radio or charts (both of which I've decided to give up on). Billboard rankings suck and the UK charts have an animated frog as #1. What is there to go by?

Still, in these times of hip hop and eurotrash dominance, there are moments of glimmering hope - Vitalic, Felix da Housecat, Girls Aloud, Rachel Stevens and even some New Order or Gwen Stefani. Bringing me back to my point though, hopefully with the release of a new Madonna album this fall, pop music will make its much-needed comeback.
